The Mouscron-based Catteaux group, led by the Storme family, is a venerable institution in the field of fuel distribution in Belgium, with several leading positions in niche markets. 

Consolidation in this sector led management to look for winning solutions by joining forces with other players in the sector. In 2014, the fuel oil distribution activities were sold, partly to the Argos Group (Netherlands) and partly to the Comfort Energy Group (Hasselt). 

More recently, the coal business was sold to the family business Tomar (Bruges) and the pellet business to the Badger group (Distribois – Palleteries François based in Virton), which achieved good vertical integration as Catteaux was their main distributor in Belgium.
